Yogis All

Yogis All$17.95

With this collection of poems, Michele Venne is offering her comprehension of the ideas and techniques available through this practice to aid in your own. The pages are printed on one side . . . to allow you, the reader and practitioner, to make your own notes regarding your discoveries, your understandings. The pen is for convenience, the pocket is to hold quotes or articles or business cards, the binder clips are for marking favorite pages or for adding your pages to this collection. Travel with it in your car, carry it into the studio, rest it on the floor beside your Zafu, or wherever you spend time, keep this within reach so that when epiphanies arise and dots are connected, they can be recorded and used as candle flame to light another's way.

What readers are saying about Yogis All:

"I've greatly enjoyed these poems. The author has a talent for words that act as powerful triggers, phrases that release a flood of memories and sensations. Thank you so much for sharing with us your personal journey!"

"Your poems bring light to darkness, and to what once felt heavy, sweet lightness remains. Thank you for sharing your precious gift."

"This had provided me with a tool to help me continue my exploration of 'the self'. The creativeness of this Poem Project allows me to step out of my 'intellectual' habits and explore new avenues. Thanks for your brilliance!!"

"A great snapshot of one of my more meaningful endeavors by a person who has a remarkable way to capture, in words, her thoughts and experiences. The fourth stanza in "Asteya" and the third line in "Apriagraha" . . . Wow! What a great opportunity to take a good look at myself. Thank you for the gift."

"The layout and practical work aids, along with tips and suggestions as to how to make this book more than a collection of poems and impressions, are further testimony to the creative approach of this Project. This Poem Project offers an inventive way to capture milestones and memories, while inspiring and encouraging continued exploration and discovery. Thank you for sharing your gift with us!"

Dear Reader,

What you hold in your hands is more than just a glimpse at my personal journey through Yoga Teacher Training. I’ve come to recognize that I write to understand, and so, through this collection of poems, I’m offering my comprehension of the ideas and techniques available through this practice to aid in your own. The pages are printed on one side, and the passages have been placed, for the most part, in the center of the page to allow you, the reader and practitioner, to make your own notes regarding your discoveries, your understandings. Doodle, jot notes, list a sequence, underline a word or line or stanza that speaks to you and use the unprinted space to fill with your own thoughts, ideas, and writings, or as an intention for a class or your personal practice.

The pen is for convenience, the pocket is to hold quotes or articles or business cards, the binder clips are for marking favorite pages or for adding your pages to this collection. I’ve compiled these items and presented them in a way to encourage their use, not to sit and collect dust on a shelf. Travel with it in your car, carry it into the studio, rest it on the floor beside your Zafu, or wherever you spend time, but keep this within reach so that when epiphanies arise and dots are connected, they can be recorded and used as candle flame to light another’s way.

This is Volume I. When I have assembled another anthology, I will make it available for any seed of thought or nugget of insight it might offer.

Fondly,

Michele Venne
