Michele Venne, of My Joy Enterprises, is an Academic Language Therapist. Through rigorous training and passing an exam, Michele understands the dynamics of language acquisition and what to do when a student is struggling in one or more areas. Decoding (breaking apart words by sounds), encoding (spelling, putting words together), fluency (accuracy and reciprocity in oral reading), and comprehension (understanding what is read) are areas that are addressed through one on one time with a therapist. Both receptive and expressive language is also affected when the student struggles with the written word.

Formal and informal assessment will give an impression of where the student is struggling, and work through all modalities will improve the student's success in school.

Assessment and Consultation: $150

Sessions: $75 for language therapy (a price break with a signed commitment to meet three times a week until the student approaches or tests at grade level)
